Experience Goral traditions firsthand in the picturesque village of Ždiar! During the 29th edition of the Goral Folklore Festival, taking place from August 8 to 10, Bachledka will host a creative program full of famous faces as well as traditional local Goral artists right at the entrance to the Treetop Walk at an altitude of almost 1,200 m above sea level. The biggest highlights of the event will be performances by Richard Müller and the group The Duchons.

The Gorals will come to Bachledka with their traditional markets to introduce visitors to their culture, history, and crafts. But it doesn't stop at demonstrations—visitors will be able to try Goral crafts themselves and take their handmade souvenir home. Besides traditional local culture, visitors can look forward to a star-studded program for both young and old, a woodcarving symposium, straw sculpture builders, and interesting competitions.

The festival will kick off on Friday, August 8, with a performance by the children's folklore group Goralík. The event will continue with a cheerful theatrical and musical show for kids and adults by the beloved ZAHRAJKO. Then one of Slovakia’s most prominent folklore ensembles – FS Železiar – will perform, bringing authentic singing, dancing, and traditions from eastern Slovakia. The evening will echo with ROCK in Bachledka! The band Gladiator will take the stage with their greatest hits and get everyone dancing. The unforgettable highlight of the evening will be a concert by Slovak music legend – Richard Müller, whose powerful voice and timeless songs will stay in your heart long after the last note.

On Saturday, August 9, the program at Bachledka continues with a children's show and performances by folklore ensembles including DFS Ždiaranček, the musical-theatrical group VODNÍKOVCI, and the popular duo PACI PAC. The Polish group Zespół TERAZMY will bring an international folklore atmosphere, showcasing traditional music, singing, and dances from the Podhale region. The evening will climax with a concert by the charismatic singer Katarína Knechtová, performing her greatest hits and new songs. The grand finale of the night will feature the project The DUCHONS, which pays tribute to the legend Karol Duchoň, reviving unforgettable hits beloved by generations.

The final day of the event, August 10, will celebrate local folklore, customs, and traditions. Folklore groups from both Slovakia and Poland will showcase their strong voices and rhythmic dances. Performing groups include: FS GORAL from Ždiar, DFS GORALIK from Ždiar, DFS ŽDIARANČEK from Ždiar, FS KICORA from Lendak, DFS SLONEČKO from Lendak, FS MAGURANKA from Spišská Stará Ves, FS GORAL from Suchá Hora, regional group "PODHALE GRUPA SPISKA" from Jurgów, and FS MAGURA from Kežmarok.
But that’s not all! In addition to the packed daytime program, on August 8 and 9, Bachledka will come alive in the evening with “Goral Entertainment” by local bands, where you’ll dance your feet off and sing your heart out like true Gorals!

Tickets for the event include entry to the program and a round-trip cable car ride on the specific date for which the ticket was purchased. Each event ticket also includes 1x entry to the Treetop Walk.
